SALEM, Oregon — Statement from House Republican Leader Carl Wilson on the appointment of Denyc Boles to the Oregon State Senate:
“We congratulate our colleague Denyc Boles on her appointment to the State Senate, serving Senate District 10. She has been a strong voice for her constituents in Marion County and shown remarkable wisdom in serving in the Oregon House of Representatives. We appreciate her contributions to the caucus leadership and wish her well as she enters a new phase in serving the people of Oregon,” said House Republican Leader Carl Wilson (R-Grants Pass).
House District 10 includes parts of Marion and Polk counties. Boles succeeds the late Jackie Winters, who passed away in May. Boles was appointed to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2014 and House District 19 voters subsequently returned her to the Capitol in 2016 and 2018.
